Creative Maths Adventure

Register your child – 7-12 years old – to our Creative Maths Adventure and have an enjoyable and enriching afternoon exploring hands-on puzzles, magic and games that will stimulate their Mathematical thinking, arouse their curiosity and develop their creativity. While your child is having great fun solving fun puzzles and going through station games based on strong mathematical concepts, you will be picking up useful tips and techniques from our expert on how to develop Happy and Creative Children!

Creative Maths Adventure is an introduction to Creative Maths – an enrichment programme originated from a series of Teachers workshops which is well attended by over 700 local teachers. This programme supports our Government’s initiative to develop enquiring minds of our students as it stimulates intellectual curiosity, promotes discovery, and develops creativity, mathematical thinking and problem solving skills!

Every parent experiences their children pestering them to spend time and play with them. Do you know that engaging them in interesting playing activities can help nurture their creativity and help them become better problem solvers and innovative thinkers? This workshop was designed based on the belief that there are steps parents can take to unleash the creativity that nature has bestowed upon their children. Parents will learn interesting ways on how they can play with and nurture their children at the same time.

Children enjoy activities that involve magic, puzzles and games. Thus, an enjoyable and interesting way for learning problem solving is by solving recreational mathematics problems. In this workshop, we show you how to perform simple tricks that appear to be recreational or magical in nature but they are actually based on sound mathematical concepts. In solving these problems, your child actively participates in deciphering the hidden principles underlying each problem and in the process, constructs his/her own knowledge of mathematics.

This fun but serious and informative seminar aims to help parents discover and understand a range of thinking processes, or skills, that they can use to instil in their children to develop them into Creative thinkers!
